thyssenkrupp Aerospace has signed an extension to its on-going contract with business jet and general aviation manufacturer Textron Aviation.
This is a continuation of thyssenkrupp Aerospace’s existing service to provide cut-to-size aluminium sheet and other products provided through its team in Hutchinson, Kansas, US.
“This contract extension is a measure of our long-standing relationship with Textron Aviation and we are proud to continue supporting such an innovative and trusted leader in the aerospace market,” said Gary Lowe, president and CEO of thyssenkrupp Aerospace in the United States of America. “We began providing services for Textron Aviation back in 2007 when we acquired the facility in Hutchinson and its sheet business from Alcoa.”
Matt Melaik, vice-president business development added: “In fact, several members of our current team were formerly employed by Alcoa and have been working with the company since the late 90s. The success of this relationship is in no small part a result of the strong contacts built over many years by our colleagues in Hutchinson.”
