thyssenkrupp Aerospace and the Mecachrome Group, one of the five largest manufacturers of aerospace parts in Europe, have extended their existing long-term partnership by signing a Master Service Agreement (MSA) covering another five years.
thyssenkrupp Aerospace will deliver material management solutions to the Mecachrome Group, including the supply of more than 1,000 stock keeping units of cut-to-size aluminium plates to multiple locations from its sites in France and Tunisia.
The agreement was designed to optimise material flows and to manage Conbid, the consolidated material supply process used for Airbus. The contract also includes a tailor-made digital control tower solution built to smartly manage in real time Mecachrome’s material supply needs for its sites in France, Tunisia and Morocco.
Emmanuel Soubigou, CEO of thyssenkrupp Aerospace France, said: “Signing this final Master Service Agreement with Mecachrome and extending our existing long-term partnership is really good news. It’s a reflection of the fact that we have always worked hard to understand exactly what our customer needs and then have the expertise to deliver. This understanding is the foundation of our Materials as a Service approach, where we design tailored services to match exactly what our customers need.”
Christian Cornille, CEO of the Mecachrome Group, added: “We are very happy to continue this long term relationship with thyssenkrupp Aerospace. In a world that is increasingly unpredictable and changeable, there are real benefits to be gained from having a stable working relationship. But stability must also come with the expertise to deliver, and that’s what we get from thyssenkrupp Aerospace.”
