In the words of Stacey Thomas, product manager EU Aerospace Tube: “We now offer our customers a wider range of products from AMETEK SMP businesses and are going to be at the Paris Airshow representing our collective tube, strip and powder capabilities and product range.”
AMETEK SMP consists of six businesses that include Superior Tube, Fine Tubes, Reading Alloys, Hamilton Precision Metals, AMETEK Wallingford, and AMETEK Eighty-Four. At the Airshow, AMETEK SMP will showcase its collective operational excellence and wide range of innovative products.
“AMETEK SMP is a key tier 1 and tier 2 supplier to civil, military and space programmes and holds extensive approvals from the major airframe manufacturers and engine primes,” explained Andy Millett, product manager, Tube. “We work directly with the major OEMs, such as Boeing and Airbus, and we work with their direct suppliers. In addition, we work closely with distributors.”
Added Mike Cullum, international sales manager for Europe, Asia and the Middle East: “We are now able to deliver a more expansive offering to the aerospace industry. We provide world-class products and services in support of some of the latest aerospace developments, including the Airbus A350 and the Boeing 787. The Paris Airshow, with its global visitor base, is an ideal opportunity to meet customers and contacts from around the world in one location to discuss how we offer solutions for their latest technical challenges.”
All six businesses that make up the AMETEK SMP will be showcasing their capabilities at Paris.
“This will be the first time we will all be exhibiting as one collective group. It will be our first opportunity to demonstrate the real added value we now can bring to our constituent businesses’ customers,” points out Matt Lappen, product manager.
