Industrial finishing equipment manufacturer Guyson International, based in Skipton, North Yorkshire has announced it has achieved another milestone, in its 80th year of business, by being awarded ISO 9001:2015 by the British Standards Institution (BSI). This replaces the previously held 9001:2008 version.
Mark Viner, Guyson’s Blast & Wash Division’s managing director, commented: “The award of this ISO 9001:2015 standard demanded a high degree of leadership commitment and is underpinned by having an effective quality management system in operation throughout the company. Guyson’s successful certification is testament to the positive engagement of our staff at all levels and demonstrates a clear aspiration to embrace the standard as a fundamental element of our customer focused strategies and consistency of services.”
This latest BSI certification adds to the existing ISO 18001:2007 award for ‘Occupational Health and Safety Management’ which Guyson International has held for several years.
The certification is recognised worldwide as the international benchmark for quality within an organisation and by achieving ISO 9001:2015 certification, the division is able to demonstrate to customers and suppliers that the systems it has in place meet the high standards set out by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO).
Each year, an external audit is carried out by a third party to ensure the division’s systems are maintained. Additional scheduled internal audits are also carried out throughout the year, giving customer confidence that the division is working to standards and procedures that will provide them with a high standard of customer service.
