The Farnborough International Airshow will resume its position as the pinnacle aerospace and aviation event in the industry as it returns 18-22 July 2022.
For decades, the Farnborough International Airshow has been the most important global platform for the aerospace, aviation, and defence industry. Following the challenges of the last two years within the industry, the role of the event now carries greater significance with the Farnborough International Airshow promising unrivalled networking and insight-generating opportunities to support the reconnection of leaders from around the world and enable business growth and recovery.
Building upon the success of the 2018 Farnborough International Airshow, which saw deals worth $192 billion made, the show is propelling itself to new heights. The 2022 airshow will be unveiling a new revolutionary global initiative – the inaugural Aerospace Global Forum. A ground-breaking dimension to Farnborough, one of the biggest airshows in the world, the platform will provide global leaders with the opportunity to gather, discuss and interrogate major issues impacting the world through an aerospace lens and drive positive change. More details on the Aerospace Global Forum and the programme will be announced in early 2022.
In addition, the event will also see the expansion of its Smart Networking opportunities, the evolution of turnkey chalets and a new Space Zone, utilising the two brand-new 22,000ft2 sound stages built on the grounds of Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre.
Steering the conversation on six core themes pertinent to the aerospace, aviation and defence industries, Farnborough International Airshow will focus on the future of the industry, sustainability, aerospace and defence thought leadership, space, future workforce and air travel.
Showcasing an exhibition of industry-leading pioneers and programme of thought leadership, the airshow will be the first truly international opportunity to witness the leaps in development that have taken place as well as showcasing innovation to a truly global audience, face-to-face. Industry pioneers such as BAE Systems, Boeing, Rolls-Royce and Raytheon Technologies have already established their positions at the five-day phenomenon.
Gareth Rogers, CEO of Farnborough International, said: “Farnborough International Airshow remains the leader in connecting the world of aerospace and the 2022 instalment will be our most important yet. It has never been more vital to connect the leading pioneers and our event will enable the industry to harness the power of the sector to tackle the largest questions and develop tangible outcomes following global summits, such as COP 26.
“With almost 90% of exhibition spaces sold and reserved already and more than two-thirds of exhibitors are from outside the UK, we are thrilled to see the eagerness of the industry to return to face-to-face events and work together to initiate global change.”
Kevin Craven, CEO of ADS Group, added: “As the second-largest sector in the world and the location of Farnborough International Airshow, the most international airshow in the world, the UK is at the epicentre of the global aerospace industry.
