Taking place 22-26 July, Farnborough International Airshow 2024 will host leading innovators from the aerospace sector and beyond. This is the global stage on which to showcase the latest innovations and embark on ground-breaking collaboration and partnerships.
Every two years, the aviation industry is invited to Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre for the world’s best airshow to pioneer change, build new connections, engage with thought leaders and get access to unparalleled business development opportunities.
This year, the Farnborough Airshow will focus on six key themes, each offering a unique message that is pivotal to the aerospace industry today:
Space - Hosted in one of the site’s sound stages, The Space Zone always proves to be one of the most popular and successful parts of the show. Featuring exhibitors from a range of space-driven companies and Space Agencies, the variety of ideas being shared and showcased is immense. The dedicated Space Theatre also hosts a packed schedule of pioneering and engaging content, welcoming inspirational speakers and key figures from the entire space industry.
Defence - In a rapidly evolving defence landscape which is pioneering new approaches to tackle the security challenges facing the modern world, it is essential to ensure that the private sector and governments from across the globe can convene effectively.
The Farnborough Airshow continues to play a vital role in bringing defence companies together with the strategic decision-makers behind military delegations at the show. The latest technological advancements will be on display in the exhibition halls as well as outside in the flying and static displays.
The return of the Delegations Programme in 2022 proved to be hugely popular as delegates were able to facilitate networking and business and so will continue for the 2024 edition.
The Farnborough Airshow also hosts many causes for celebration, such as in 2022, when members of the UK Reserve Forces were invited to mark their contribution to the UK’s aerospace and defence sectors. Farnborough International CEO, Gareth Rogers, also signed an Armed Forces Covenant with Air Vice-Marshal Ranald Munro.
Sustainability – Sustainability and the path to net zero continues to be a huge driving force at Farnborough, enabling world leaders and industry pioneers to come together and collaborate on the future of aviation. Visitors to the Airshow will be able to attend thought-leading sessions dedicated to accelerating discussion on sustainability and focusing on the importance of collaboration across global sectors.
Innovation - As the industry continually looks to enhance modern life with technological advancements and radical new approaches, the Farnborough Airshow acts as a platform for the latest and greatest innovations that are pioneering the future of aerospace.
The event will provide a global platform to showcase the developments setting the agenda for the industry in the years ahead, discuss the challenges shaping the direction of the sector and debate the best course of action for some of the biggest questions facing aviation.
Future flight - As the race to develop new future flight technologies accelerates, there is no question that our skies will soon be transformed through advancements in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) solutions.
Farnborough provides a global platform to showcase the companies redefining and revolutionising the aerospace sector from those pioneers making AAM a reality, to the vital technological advancements being made in R&D and manufacturing. With dedicated exhibition areas for pioneering companies, showcases in its conference programmes and displays of these innovations at work, Farnborough will celebrate the future of flight as it is happening.
Workforce - The Workforce theme is an important discussion point throughout the Airshow’s five days, but truly takes centre stage on the last day when attention turns to its Pioneers of Tomorrow event. Aimed at students and young professionals interested in a career in the sector, this event was created to inspire future generations and enable companies to highlight the opportunities they have on offer. Visitors can explore the latest technologies revolutionising the automation of the sector and meet with the industry leaders seeking to fill the gaps in the modern workforce.
