Using API’s UK-based facilities, the parties will collaborate on the production of custom, high reliability electronic modules and assemblies. This alliance is designed to permit ADI’s wide range of high performance integrated circuit (IC) and high speed digital signal processing technology to integrate with API’s value-added engineering services, footprint reduction and miniaturisation technologies, and in-house production, manufacturing and testing capabilities to allow API to deliver a UK-designed and manufactured, integrated high performance solution directly to UK and European customers to support their custom aerospace and defence, mission critical requirements.
In order to reduce time to market, API and ADI sales forces plan to cooperatively identify and direct to API those UK and European aerospace and defence customers who are seeking a solution that integrates ADI’s proprietary semiconductor and IC technologies within a custom-designed API module.
“We are very excited about our growing relationship with ADI, which has been important in Europe to both companies for more than 15 years,” said Richard Farrington, managing director and vice-president, API Technologies UK. “Through this alliance, both ADI and API will better serve our European customers through a comprehensive forward-looking portfolio of UK-designed, industry-leading solutions for the global high reliability electronics market.”
“Our expanded collaboration with API strengthens our commitment to our European customers for the highest quality Analog Devices solutions for innovative assemblies and integrated circuits, now delivered from Europe through API’s UK-based engineering, design and manufacturing operations,” said Bryan Goldstein, general manager, Aerospace and Defence Business Unit, Analog Devices.
