“We are pleased to have Tom join the AMETEK MRO team in this key leadership role. We expect him to provide strategic direction to our European and Asian MRO businesses. He will focus on achieving synergies between our businesses and in establishing a cohesive strategy to increase our customer base, market share and overall profitability,” noted Brian Hoffmann, AMETEK vice-president and general manager, maintenance, repair and overhaul.
Wilson (pictured) brings to AMETEK more than 35 years of broad domestic and international aerospace industry and third-party MRO experience. That includes increasingly responsible roles in corporate leadership, profit and loss engineering, operations, project and program management, sales and business development. He most recently served as President of Airinmar, a provider of full-service airline maintenance and repair solutions.
During his seven years at Airinmar, Wilson was successful in establishing relationships with commercial airlines, military and defence companies, original equipment manufacturers and MRO customers worldwide. Prior to Airinmar, he was vice-president with Aveos Fleet Performance in Canada and spent 18 years with The NORDAM Group in various leadership roles worldwide.
Wilson replaces John Smith, who retires in September following a 35-year career.
