Composites UK has added the Farnborough Airshow to its portfolio of pavilions at shows for 2024. The Association’s marketing and communications manager, Claire Whysall says it’s the next logical step in the development of a wider programme of exhibition opportunities.

Following a successful run of organising turnkey exhibition stand solutions for SMEs within the composites industry, Composites UK has added Farnborough International Airshow (FIA) to its portfolio of pavilions at leading shows for 2024.

Aerospace is the second largest end-sector market for Composites UK’s members, and following member feedback this historic biennial event, which attracts aviation enthusiasts, industry professionals, government officials, and the public from around the world, was the next logical step in the development of a wider programme of exhibition opportunities.

Composites UK is working alongside the North West Aerospace Alliance (NWAA) on a joint presence at this prestigious week-long event, which demonstrates the innovations and developments in civilian and military aircraft. The 150m2 collaborative stand, in the Pioneers of Change Zone, situated near to one of the main entrances of the large hall, will house 28 companies from across both organisation’s respective membership.

Like previous pavilions, the joint stand at FIA is a gateway into the exhibition for companies who may not have the full resource required to exhibit independently, and/or want to test out the show before committing to their own booth. It allows companies to be part of the stand’s community, exhibiting alongside other businesses they could work with within the supply chain, as well as being introduced to Tier 1s/OEMs invited to the stand by Composites UK and NWAA. Stand participants are provided with marketing support to promote their attendance as well as exhibitor guidance to help them get the most out of taking part.

FIA is a global platform for the aerospace and defence industry to conduct business negotiations, sign major contracts, and establish collaborations with partners from all corners of the world and Composites UK is looking forward to seeing both its own, and NWAA’s members grow from taking part in the pavilion.

Farnborough, of course, is not the only exhibition where Composites UK organises a pavilion stand. The Association will again take 64m2 at the Advanced Engineering Show in October (30–31, NEC, Birmingham). As long-time supporters of the show, Composites UK will house up to twelve SMEs on its stand here across the two days giving them the opportunity to showcase their solutions to visitors looking for their next big collaborator.

Following our return from Paris in March, the stand for JEC World 2025 is already booked which will see Composites UK again fly the literal UK flag when organising the UK Pavilion at this, the largest international composites show.

Aside from the pavilions Composites UK co-organises the International Composites Summit (ICS) with Fluency, which is the single place to do the most cost effective and sustainable composites business in the UK. The show is growing and following a successful third year where over 1,300 people attended across the two days, ICS returns on 4–5 September 2024 (Milton Keynes), bringing together industry leaders, researchers, and innovators from across the composites sector.

Bookings for all pavilions and stands at the International Composites Summit are available to book now. Space at all of these is limited and therefore a first-come-first-served policy is in operation.
